Active Directory max DIT size and follow-ups ..

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Some time ago interested thread was started on ActiveDir.org regarding maximum number of objects supported in Active Directory DIT database – definitely worth reading. This was a push for ~Eric to make some tests on this topic. Results can be found in very, very interesting post on ~Erics blog .

As it sometimes happens in blogsphere ~Eric’s post was a push for other peoples to write something. In this case it was Brett, who performed analysis of DIT file produced by ~Eric in his experiment. Together, ActiveDire.org thread, ~Eric’s and Brett’s post are making good learning for everyone interested in AD.

And If we are talking about Brett – be sure to check his post on You had me at EHLO blog, which explains the roots of Squeaky Lobster registry key for ESE database. This is true life and fun.
