Reading Time: 2 minutes

oreillyLast week, I technically reviewed ‘Windows 8: Out of the Box’, as published by O’Reilly and available both as print and ebook. Per today you can pre-order the paperback at Amazon.

About the book

Windows 8: Out of the Box is a 130-page book, explaining Windows 8 to people unboxing their new Windows 8 and Windows RT-powered devices or starting up Windows 8 for the first time after upgrading. It details how to use and customize the new Start screen with its Live Tiles, how to use apps to get things done like sharing photos, watching videos and editing digital photographs, how to use Windows 8 at work and also how to keep Windows 8 safe and running smoothly.

This book is packed with practical tips and howtos, that will put a smile on your face when you’re a seasoned Windows user, but it also a great gift to (grand)pa for Christmas when you’re done reading it.
