Microsoft goes completely Prometric

From the MCP Flash e-Newsletter:

Microsoft Learning Announces Prometric as Exam Delivery Provider (Worldwide)
We're pleased to announce that Prometric will be the exam delivery provider for Microsoft professional certification and Microsoft Dynamics exams. Microsoft Learning is confident that this model will allow us to provide you with a better testing experience. We anticipate increased speed to market for exam innovations, improved consistency in your test-taking environment, and excellent global coverage. Pearson VUE will discontinue selling Microsoft professional certification exams after August 31, 2007, but will continue to administer Microsoft professional certification exams purchased through December 31, 2007.

This is a huge move. However, I prefer Prometric because of the testing environment. Every time I took a Vue test, I had some moron sitting next to me making tons of noise.

Cisco did the same. Cisco exams will be delivered only through Pearson VUE® Authorized Test Centers.

Pearson VUE® Authorized Test Centers that aren't Prometrics Test Centers (yet) don't have to worry they won't be able to deliver Microsoft exams: Prometrics will be working to assist the Pearson VUE® Authorized Test Centers who will be converting to ProMetric.

I think Test Centers joining multiple Exam Deliviery Providers are the future: One geographic location being a Pearson VUE® Authorized Test Center as well as a  Thomson ProMetric Test Center.
