About Matt Johnson

Welcome to Matt Johnson's Technical Adventures. This is the personal blog of Matthew Johnson. Here is a little about me.

I am a Systems Administrator from the Metro Detroit area. I specialize in Microsoft Windows based networks, automation and development. I have been administering networks for more than seven years now and have been told that I am not a “paper MCSE.” Currently, I hold my MCSE for Windows 2003 and 2000, MCSA for Windows 2003 and 2000, Microsoft Small Business Specialist for Windows 2003, Comptia Network+, and Comptia A+. I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science.

I got my start in IT at Arbortext, now a PTC company, running the Exchange 2003 environment. Wow what a crash course in IT. After Arbortext, I was fortunate to find a job at Cygnus Systems. There I deployed countless networks running as workgroups, to Small Business Server and up to large scale corporate networks. I enjoyed my time there as I learned a lot and made some great friends. If you are looking for a networking services company in the Southeast Michigan area, take a look at Cygnus Systems. (http://www.cygnus-sys.com). Currently, I am employed by FAAC Incorporated. I am the systems administrator there and am responsible for day to day operations of the network.

In addition to my normal day job, I have two companies that I have founded. The first is MWJ Computing Development. MWJ Computing Development focuses on helping companies with their direction with technology. For more information, please go to http://www.mwjcomputing.net. The second company is Detroit Digital. Detroit Digital specializes in technology solutions that involve web services. For more information, visit http://www.detroit-digital.com.
