If haven't heart yet, IE7 has been released to the public and you can get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx?mg_ID=10010

 

I got curious and wanted to install it, so i did. BUT safety first of course... ;-). As I do not want to spend a weekend on restoring my working laptop, I first created a full backup of the OS and in addition before installing IE7 I manually created a XP system restore point for quick recovery.

 

So far so good!

It looks great and until now the only thing I experienced was that all my cached credentials for websites were gone. Besides that nothing else (yet).... ;-))
