Windows Server 2003 R2 Schema Updates

I was asked which components extended the schema with Windows Server 2003 R2 I always miss a small detail so below is a table explaining which components extend the AD schema for Windows Server 2003 R2:

DFS Replication

Upgrade the domain controller with the schema master with R2 schema update.

Can be installed on any Windows Server 2003 R2 server computer.

Identity Management for UNIX

Upgrade the domain controller with the schema master with R2 schema update.

Must be installed directly on a Windows Server 2003 R2 domain controller

Print Management Console

Upgrade the domain controller with the schema master with R2 schema update.

Can be installed on any Windows Server 2003 R2 server computer.

I did think you needed a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition server on one end of the DFS-R replication. Is that right? If so, make a note dudette.

Enterprise Edition is only needed when you using Cross File Replication with RDC, RDC on its own does not need Enterprise Edition, only when you make use of Cross File replication you need to have at LEAST one Enterprise server in the replication group.

Does that explain it?
