Im in Awe !
Well being doing some AD operations as usual and having 10 Kb’s open at the same time and going through 100000 steps (which are all similar) to fix a small but serious problem, has started to take its toll. These things should be automated and I know the team cant automate everything so this is where I step into the equation.
I was helping a friend fixing some lingering objects in his directory and I just think that all the procedures all over the place can be confusing to some. I decided to automate a clean up of lingering objects (Provided you know which objects are lingering).
I installed my freshly downloaded VS.NET 2005 WHAT A AWESOME piece of software, I am in awe of the team that developed that tool WELL DONE GUYS. Its at this point that I am proud to (start 1 December) work for a company like Microsoft.
I then opened a project and started doing some work with the System.DirectoryServices.ActiveDirectory namespace and well WOW - Weiqing Tu (Dev Lead) and your team WELL DONE, I saw all this in Redmond two weeks ago but until you get to use it you don’t know how radically awesome this is! You have done a great job and no more fiddling with the freeken API’s anymore and having to create and dispose of RPC handles. You did listen to my bitching and moaning :) - thanks.
So the whole point of this blog entry is to say WELL DONE and THANK YOU to the team and especially in my area Weiqing Tu thanks darling YOU ROCK!
As I finish this little app I will start posting some code samples (Weiqing if you want me to update MSDN just ping me)
